For years, I have been using a brand of Lemon Pepper with Garlic and Onion that had 30 mg. of sodium per 1/4 teaspoon. This brand has recently been discontinued. The remaining brands of Lemon Pepper with Garlic and Onion in my markets have no sodium added, or have large amounts of added sodium (180 mg. per 1/4 teaspoon). I personally prefer the taste that the very low sodium added lemon pepper had, so now I create my own low sodium lemon pepper with garlic and onion. If you prefer the taste of any recipe with the no salt added variety of this spice, you can subtract 30 mg. of sodium for every 1/4 teaspoon of lemon pepper you use in this website's recipes.
30 mg. sodium per 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
5 teaspoons no salt added Low Sodium Lemon Pepper with Garlic and Onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
Measure these two ingredients into a small jar. Shake to combine well.
